In a remarkable achievement for Greek olive oil, Argilos I Early has been awarded a Gold Medal and recognized as an Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil at the 2025 Dubai Olive Oil Competition (DUBAIOOC) – Early Harvest Edition. This prestigious accolade highlights the exceptional quality of this monovarietal EVOO, crafted exclusively from Chalkidiki olives harvested early in the season.
Harvested in early October in the Kavala region of Eastern Macedonia, Greece, the olives are cold-pressed within hours to preserve their fresh, unripe character. The resulting oil boasts a vibrant profile with notes of green almond, freshly cut grass, and herbs, offering a medium spiciness and delicate bitterness on the palate.
The DUBAIOOC is renowned for its rigorous evaluation process, assessing olive oils based on quality and organoleptic characteristics. A Gold Medal signifies a score between 80 and 100 out of 100, highlighting the superior standards met by Argilos I Early.
Furthermore, Argilos I Early's classification as an Ultra Premium olive oil underscores its exceptional quality. This designation is reserved for oils that score between 90 and 94 points, reflecting the highest level of excellence and refinement in the olive oil world.
